Support Unit is the HNW project of Brandon Wald, exploring themes ranging from anarchist theory and history to obscure militant struggles and the intersection of art and technology. Known for releasing on increasingly obscure and unconventional media formats—such as Hit Clips, 5 1/4" floppy disks, Orb drives, and Betamax tapes—Support Unit has become a growing mainstay in the global HNW underground. The project has embarked on multiple tours and performed at shows and festivals across the United States and Canada.

Brandon Wald is the founder of Black Ring Rituals Records and Fargo Noise Fest, as well as the co-founder of Pittsburgh Noise Fest. He has been an active force in the noise scene for well over a decade.
