PCRV is the long running noise project of Matthew Taggart. PCRV explores and encompasses Taggart’s interest in free improvisation, immediatism and harsh electronics. PCRV aims to create an open ended experience that allows the listener or audience to determine their experience. PCRV has no intention of specifying what is expected or felt. The main goal of PCRV is to push the idea of harsh noise and embrace new technologies and thinking when approaching the creative process. Use of guitar pedals, synths and a shaker box has been the main tools PCRV has used for many years. PCRV has released a plethora of material on many labels including RRRecords, Breaching Static, Love Earth Music, Crippled Intellect Productions and more including his own label Fluxus MT. PCRV has also been touring since 2001. Having toured with Crank Sturgeon, J.Soliday, Emil Beaulieau, Pedestrian Deposit, The Haters, Prurient, Styrofoam Sanchez, Can’t, Vertonen and Jason Talbot.
